Answer: NO - There are so many variables that it is almost impossible to estimate its cost until it had some preliminary design requirements established. Question: Where can I get application forms? Answer: Your local Florida Department of Health - Bureau of Water Programs or online at http://www.doh.state.fl. us/environment/water/swim/download.html Question: How long does it take before I can start building a public pool? Answer: It takes about 3 months. 2-3 weeks for engineering 3-4 weeks for State approval processing 1-4 weeks for building permit processing Question: How long does it take to build the average public pool? Answer: Depending on the size and complexity it will take from 8-12 weeks or longer. Question: Once the pool is built, is there anything we have to do before we can open it for use? Answer: The pool must be inspected by the designing engineer, the local building department and the Florida Department of Health before an operational permit is issued.
